The
following photographs were amongst John's collection. They were photo copies he received from the
R.E.M.E. Museum. The originals were received from Thein Zan
52B who appears in the lead photo. No
more names were available but we have since been able to add a fair
number. This version shows the
condition of the photos, as received, and gives some indication of what can
be achieved by painstaking restoration.
There are more awaiting treatment and they will be added to the album
as and when they are ready.

The
pipe band, led by Pipe Major Batt giving a display. Charles
Elsey 53A, Pictorial Archivist at the REME
Museum places the display at Aldershot in the Summer of 1955.

The following four photos
appear to be all of the same parade, thought to be the Summer of 1955. With an officer on parade, in this case Major
Hendricks MC, the Cameronians and OC of B Company, and with the 6 Div
carrying rifles whilst still wearing Service Dress, it is probably the
Queen's Birthday parade for that year.
Confirmation or otherwise would be appreciated.
