Derek PALMER’s Photo Album

Derek PALMER (54B)

“Derek Palmer loaned me these two photographs. The Auster incident I remember well; Brigadier Mead was the culprit. The guy underneath was OK but so startled he took off without his aeroplane and hasn't been seen since!”

“I was very pleased to meet up with Derek again after all this time. He did his Pilot's course in 1963, was posted to Aden where he did a lot of 'up country' flying. Converted to Beaver in theatre, later posted to Aldergrove, Antrim, Northern Ireland, from where he retired from the Army in 1966 and went to work for Plessey.”
