This immense bronze sculpture, standing in Jalan Tugu, was built as the National Memorial to the soldiers who gave up their lives for their beloved country.  It depicts seven soldiers holding the Malayan flag, each symbolising one of the seven qualities, Unity, Strength, Leadership, Sacrifice, Courage, Suffering and Vigilance.  Designed in America it was erected in 1966.
