Brian is particularly interested in finding out the origins of the Piper’s Silver Plate and Gilt Plaid Brooch shown on the left.

 

What apprentice school did it come from and during which period would it have been worn?

 

Was it worn by all pipers or was it one that was awarded for a specific reason?
