Saturday. Drum Head Service.

Since the A.A.N.M. Dedication Service in September 2011, the memorial has seen the addition of a lectern style information board telling the story of the Army Apprentice. The lectern and thirty additional Memorial Tablets will be dedicated at a service to be held on the 9th of September 2012.. The three photos below by Gordon Bonner 49B show a clear view of the memorial today.

The memorial, with the semi-circular background of the new trees in Lichfield Wood, provided an ideal location for the traditional A.O.B.A. Memorial Service. It would be hard to find a more welcoming and appropriate setting.
