The Drumhead Service

As usual this a very moving occasion. Time to reflect on life as it has affected us over the years. Time to remember those of our friends that, fate has decreed, are no longer with us. Time to remember those for whom life, at this time, is not at its best and to hope that things will improve.

The Address

In previous years the Address by the inspecting officer would be given at the Parade, after the inspection, but with the changes this year it was given after the Service. The inspecting officer was Colonel Nigel Moore MBE the current Regimental Colonel who had been the C.O. of the College from 1996-1998.  I consoled myself with the thought that he looked so young because he was young. Wait till he gets to our age I thought, and then again, I probably won't be around to see how he has weathered the ravages of age. I'll be on an extended holiday I hope.
